  1. Opening statement

When it comes to homelessness, mental health, addiction, and disorderly behavior, I believe in compassion with accountability. We can care about people who are struggling while also expecting our neighborhoods and businesses to be safe.

  2. Opening statement

As we add homes, we need to listen to the neighbourhoods affected by this growth. Density, it needs infrastructure. Roads, transit, sidewalks, parks, utilities, and the services people rely on.

  3. If you were to tackle one issue, what would it be and how will you pay for it?

understand that not all incidents require police involvement. [...] And I think we could save money by utilizing bylaw and our downtown Kelowna association, our URBA, our community support, our partnerships, to look at the things that don't need policing. Maybe something is a nuisance that someone else can deal with.

  4. What grade would you give the last four years of work, and why?

So, you know, they've done a good job and maybe they haven't hit every nail on the head, but they've made me proud with everything that they've worked through and I can say I would give them a strong B.

  5. A position you hold that may be unpopular with some voters but you believe is necessary

Incentives have been given for rental housing being built in the last four years. [...] But what I would like to see is incentives for affordable housing. [...] I would like to see a return of affordable housing which is base level entry homes. We don't need any fancy fixtures. We need a small home with a small footprint where a family can live and raise a family.

  6. How could you support small business and cut red tape?

So as a small business owner myself, I've owned a business downtown for 15 years, what I would like to see is communication ahead of projects.
