  1. Opening statement

My priorities are of course fiscal responsibility. I have an extensive background and I can dissect files and quotes. I can understand where money is being spent and why and if it's being spent on the right things. I can help save money in that aspect.

  4. What does leadership mean for you on council?

  5. A council decision you disagreed with, and what you would have done differently

A couple decisions that council have made in the past that I would change and first off there's the rental development on Benvoulin and Springfield. In my opinion I think there should have been much more consideration to form and character for those buildings.

  6. An area of city spending that deserves greater scrutiny

I think one of the main areas that needs more scrutiny is the spending on civil infrastructure. [...] I know they're ripping up roads that are merely eight years old in the upper mission or they're refinishing roads in Ellison without upgrading the sewer lines underneath. So I think a thorough look at the civil bids that are coming would be in the best interest of the city

  7. What would you do differently about crime and safety that hasn't been done before?

A couple things I would do is I would immediately start talking to prosecutors. [...] I think I would ask them why they haven't started implementing more parole and probation conditions on repeat offenders that are causing a lot of these unsafe spaces. The goal there would be perhaps over time they would be prohibited from being in the downtown core and slowly exit. At the same time we would try relocating all the services and outreach programs that are currently on our rail trail somewhere else.
