    One of the things the city can do right now, we've been giving tax breaks for developers for rental units. I think most people agree that our supply of rentals is quite significant right now.

    one of the big ones right now that's unknown is 210 million dollar the Clement extension [...] I would defer that and look at focusing on getting transit.

Ron Cannan first entered Kelowna municipal politics in 1996 and served nine years on city council. He was the Conservative Member of Parliament for Kelowna-Lake Country from 2006 to 2015. He returned to city council in the 2022 election with 17,152 votes, and he has served as one of the city's representatives on the Regional District of Central Okanagan board.
