Kelowna council forum #2 at Revelry

  1. Opening statement

We made a video that maybe some people know about that reached over 250,000 views, went quite viral. After that, we did get a visitor the next day in our store, and it was a bit of a shoot the messenger message. We were told that the video would probably be... not taken well for tourism or for Kelowna.

  2. Opening statement

I'm here because I'm here to serve the people. If you guys believe that I'm out in any way, out for my own good, for my own benefit, and I'm not out for the good of the people, I'm a public servant, and I'm here for you.

  3. If you were to tackle one issue, what would it be and how will you pay for it?

What would it be? It would obviously be public safety right now. [...] We need a timeline. We have to have outcomes that are measurable. [...] And again, if we don't have a plan, we can't budget for it.

  4. What grade would you give the last four years of work, and why?

From a safety standpoint, I'm going to give a couple of grades. Not so good. Things have gotten worse. You can look at stats all you want. We can cherry pick those. But if you're actually living down here like I do... [...] It has been getting worse and it is becoming very, very hard to run a business down here.

  5. What grade would you give the last four years of work, and why?

My business has been very affected by the Bertram Street build-out from this summer. [...] The timing was so bad, the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing, and we basically bottlenecked all of Bernard, and many of our businesses got very badly affected. So I would say on the street stuff, I'd give them a D, I mean like the city, like the crime stuff, and I'd give them a dang good C plus for the rest.

  6. A position you hold that may be unpopular with some voters but you believe is necessary

I think we need to move the safe injection site downtown. [...] I believe in harm reduction. [...] I want the safe injection site. Do not take that away. I just think we need to be really careful and think very hard where it is best served. It is not best served in that location.

  7. How could you support small business and cut red tape?

For me, I just think actually these kind of forums, we should, as the city council and the city, every six months, let's call it biannually, we should be listening to the people, the businesses and what they want.

Background

Compiled by Forward Kelowna from public sources, not written by the candidate. Checked October 7, 2026.

Todd Christopher Daniels owns Gallery Streetwear on Bernard Avenue. He says he has worked as a professional athlete, salesperson, labourer, manager and small-business owner, and spent 13 seasons as a fire lookout. Castanet reported that he drew public attention when he spoke out about property crime and vandalism in downtown Kelowna. The sources reviewed did not show any earlier run for elected office.
